No, candidates willing to take admission to the BSc programme of NIST are not required to take an entrance exam. Admission to the programme is based on the applicant's merit in Class 12, provided they meet the preset eligibility criteria. The UPCATET 2024 UG, PG and PhD entrance exam was conducted between June 11, 2024, and June 12, 2024, by the S.V.P University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut, the examination conducting body. The MBA exam was conducted in the afternoon and the post graduate and PhD exam started in the morning session.

The UPCATET application fee should be submitted paid after filling the form else the form will bnot be submitted or accepted by the exam conducting authority. This year updated feesfor male candidates from General & OBC category was INR 1350 and for female candidates and other male the fees was INR 1100.
The mode of payment for the UPCATET application fees is online so students need to submit it via Debit card, Credit card, and Net banking. After submitting the application fees candidates need to download the fee receipt in case due to some error if their candidature is rejected then they have the option to raise concern with
