Along with the GCET admit card, the candidates will have to present their valid photo identity proof. Any one of the following documents can be produced to the invigilators at the centre - Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, any Govt. approved identity proof. At the exam centre, any one of the above-mentioned original identity proofs has to be presented. Without the admit card and identity proof, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the exam.

For ISC exams, carry:
- Admit Card (Hall Ticket)
- Valid Photo ID (School ID or Govt. issued)
- Optionally, use a transparent pouch for stationery
- Dress code - follow school guidelines.
- Pack basic stationery (pens, pencils, eraser, etc.).
- Check if a calculator is allowed (on admit card).
- Bring a transparent water bottle (check school rules).
- Arrive 30 minutes early.
- No electronics or valuables.

Candidates should check the list of prohibited items before reporting to GCET exam centre. Electronic items are not allowed in the exam centre. If prohibited items are seen inside the centre, then candidates will be disqualified from the exam.

GCET admit card will not be released online at the official website. The authorities will send the GCET hall ticket to the candidates through email to their registered email addresses. The candidates will have to access their email, download and print out the GCET admit card. No other mode will be used to release the GCET admit card.

Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify KARTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for KARTET Paper 2. Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to qualify both papers. The candidates have to apply for the papers according to their eligibility set by the board.
