Securing 2500 rank in GATE is considered good. With this rank, you can get admission to new IITs, top NITs and IIITs as well. However, opportunities for PSU jobs can be limited.  GATE AIR of 2500 can roughly correspond a GATE score of 670 to 750.

  • Possible NITs include - NIT Trichy, NIT Suratkal, NIT Calicut
  • New IITs - IIT Bhilai, IIT Patna, IIT Mandi, etc.

MICAT scores are valid for one admission cycle only. Candidates seeking admission into the PGDM and PGDM-C batch of 2026-28 can only use their MICAT 2026 scores.

Yes, MICA conducts the MICAT exam in two phases within a single admission cycle. You can appear for both phases, and the institute will consider your best score when preparing the shortlist.

MICA considers the best of two MICAT scores along with CAT/XAT/GMAT performance. Approximately one-tenth of the total candidates appearing in both exams are shortlisted for GE-PI based on their scaled MICAT scores.
