You can prepare for the examination by studying mainly biology subject which includes mainly agriculture-related questions. Few questions are from general knowledge section as well. Most questions are of objective type.

International students are exempted from the requirement of admission tests for the academic programmes of the University. They can apply either on a self-financing basis or through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) attached to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The ICCR offers a number of scholarships to enable international students to pursue higher studies in Universities and other recognized institutions of higher learning in India. The International students are required to submit their application online, for the academic programmes of the University.

The answer is both yes & no. It is possible to get IIT Tirupati admission without the GATE entrance examination, but in other courses than MTech. A student can enter into IIT Tirupati via JEE Advanced or IIT JAM (Joint Admission Test) for BTech & MSc. So, if the dream is just to enter into IITs, there are various courses one can pursue except for MTech. However, admission to IIT Tirupati for the M.Tech programme is subject to a valid GATE score followed by COAP Counselling. Students must have also completed their undergraduate degree - UG in the relevant stream .

The percentage required to appear for are BTech in Marine Engineering, BTech in Naval Architecture & Ship Building, BTech in Instrumentation & Technology is 60% whereas for Polymer Science & Engineering it is 50%. However, there can be more specific requirements for each specialisation that aspirants can check on this page.

There is no age limit to apply for the CUSAT CAT. However, a candidate should fulfil other eligibility criteria stipulated by the University. That is, there is no stipulated age limit to apply for the CUSAT CAT exam. Candidates of any age group can fill the CUSAT CAT application form and subsequently participate in the counselling if they qualify the entrance.
