Every NIFT campus offers a merit-based financial assistance programme to qualified students. It is known as SARTHAK under which you may receive up to a 100% scholarship at NIFT depending on your parent's income. There are three slabs in total:
1. Family income up to 1.5 Lacs: 100% scholarship
2. Family income up to 2.5 Lacs: 75% scholarship
3. Family income up to 4 Lacs: 50% scholarship
Apart from that, it has UDAAN scholarships for foreign studies. For this, you need to have an excellent academic record to study further at foreign institutes. There are several other sponsored awards and scholarships at every campus for top students in various courses at NIFT.

The CFTRI exam is conducted by the Central Food Technologies Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore. This exam is conducted for admission to M.Sc. And Ph.D. courses at the institution. The CFTRI has not officially announced the exam date for the 2023 session. Mostly, this exam is conducted around June every year. It was held in August of 2022. According to current trends, the application process should begin by March 2023. The following are the CFTRI eligibility requirements:
1. You must have either a B.Sc. With 50% or a B.Sc. (Hons) with 55% to be admitted to a M.Sc. Programme.
2. You must have a 65% graduation score in Science, Food Science, Agriculture, or a related subject to be eligible for integrated M.Sc. And Ph.D. courses.
3. You also require a valid GATE score to enroll in the Ph.D. programme.

The Indian Railways will now recruit officers through the IRMS exam, and only the prelim stage will be common to the UPSC CSE; the other two stages have separate exam structures. Both ways are good; if you want to join for generalist positions through IRMS, CSE is better, whereas if you want to become a specialist, ESE is better.
1. Salary: Both services are group "A" services with an equal salary structure as per the seventh pay commission.
2. Nature of work: The IRMS's work is to look after management in the railways, whereas ESE includes branch-specific work such as mechanical engineers in the railways, who will work in the Mechanical Engineering Division of the Indian Railways.
3. Exam: Through CSE, you will be required to appear in the common preliminary. The CSE prelim syllabus is significantly larger than the ESE prelim syllabus. The questions in CSE are more general than those in ESE, which will be more technical in nature. In addition, unlike ESE, which is branch specific, you can select your optional for IRMS in main.
4. Career advancement: The promotional scale is similar, but you will have more diverse work opportunities in IRMS, unlike ESE.
