After passing the SBI PO exam, a life full of perks and challenges begins. Perks:

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection IBPS conducts the IBPS PO Exam for the post of Probationary Officer (PO) or Management Trainee in public sector banks in India. There are a total of 11 participating banks in IBPS PO. The selected candidate can be posted to any of the following banks:

2. Bank of India
3. Punjab National Bank
4. Indian Overseas Bank
5. Bank of Maharashtra
6. UCO Bank
7. Indian Bank
8. Central Bank of India
9. Canara Bank

The basic salary on joining is Rs. 23,700 per month, which gets an increment up to Rs. 42,020 per month. In addition, selected POs will get allowances such as daily allowance, house rent allowance, etc. Furthermore, they can be promoted to the post of Managing Director of the Bank.

The difficulty level depends on many factors, such as the aspirant's interest. For example, someone whose English is weak will think of IBPS as tougher than CGL. Here are some parameters according to which you may decide which one is difficult for you:
1. Syllabus wise: The syllabus of IBPS PO can be completed in 4 months, but the SSC CGL syllabus is vast and it needs a minimum of 6 months.
2. Pattern wise: IBPS PO is a three-stage recruitment process, of which the third one is the interview. On the other hand, SSC CGL is a four-stage recruitment process. If any aspirant is uncomfortable with the interview round, then SSC is easier as there is no interview in SSC CGL. Also, the whole process of CGL takes more than one year, whereas the IBPS process is completed in six months' time.
3. Stage wise: In IBPS PO the prelims scores are not counted in the final merit list and, therefore, you just need to qualify. On the other hand, in SSC there are around four levels; tiers one, two, three, and four, and an aspirant cannot afford to lose marks at any stage because the marks from all the stages are considered for the final merit list. Therefore, in this way, SSC CGL is more challenging.
4. The level of reasoning, computer aptitude, and English questions asked in IBPS PO exams is higher compared to SSC CGL. Also, there is a section-wise cut off which needs to be cleared. Both exams have a level of difficulty, but None of them is too difficult to clear. With proper strategy and practice, you can clear either of them, be it a banking exam like IBPS or SSC CGL.

The IBPS PO 2021 category-wise cut off is as follows:
For prelims, the cut off is out of 100 marks:
1. The cut-off for the general category, EWS, and OBC categories was the same, 50.5.
2. For SC category: 44.50
3. For the ST category: 38. Also, there is a section-wise cut off which is mandatory to qualify for prelims and was as follows:
1. English Language section cutoff (30 marks): 10 marks for the general category, 6.75 for the others.
2. Quantitative Aptitude Section Cut Off: For the general category it was 9 and for others it was 6.25 out of 35 marks.
3. Reasoning Ability section cut off: For the general category it was 10 marks, and for others it was 6.25 out of 35 marks. For qualifying Mains, the cut off out of 225 was as follows:
1. The General category: 80.75
2. EWS: cut off was 77.25
3. OBC category: 75.75
4. SC category: 65.50
5. The ST category cut-off score was 57.75.
