Candidates must remember the following points for NIFT.
- Answer key will only be released for the GAT paper
- No answer keys will be released for the CAT paper
- Answer key has to be downloaded online from the NID admission portal
- Candidate will be given the option to challenge the NIFT answer key
- To make a challenge, the candidate will have to pay INR 500 per challenge. The final answer key will be released after considering all challenges filed by candidates.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the draft answer keys for NIFT 2026 in February 2026. The answer key is released online at the NTA NIFT admission portal - exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT.
Candidates can also download the admit card @ nift.ac.in/admission.
To download the NIFT answer key
- Go to the NTA NIFT admission portal
- Click on the answer key link
- In the log-in window, enter your roll number, programme of study, question booklet series, and date of birth
- On successful login, you can download the answer key.

NIFT 2026 answer key will be released programme wise for GAT test.
- Download the answer key for their respective program.
- Next, compare teir answers with the official version to calculate the number of correct attempts.
- Then, using the official marking scheme, calculate probable scores.
- Probable scores can be used by the candidate to assess the chances of admission.

NIFT draft key will be released in February. Final key will be released in April 2026. Also, answer key is released only for the GAT written test.

The NIFT 2024 application fee is category-specific. The application fee for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category. Meanwhile, those belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD Category need to pay only INR 1,500. The application fee has to be paid online using net banking, credit, or debit cards. The application fee will have to be paid at the time of filling out the NIFT 2024 application form. Note that payment made using demand draft will not be accepted.

The important dates of NIFT 2026 will cover the entire admission schedule of NIFT 2026 admission process. The important dates will therefore cover events like release of admission notification, application form, and admit cards, conduct of the exam, declaration of results, counseling schedule, and date of commencement of classes. The candidate by consulting the important dates will know in advance about an upcoming event and so will be able to plan in advance.
