The Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is a national level entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University. The exam is conducted once a year. The SEED exam is conducted as a home-proctored exam that candidates can take from the comfort of their home. The scores of the exam are considering for admission to the B.Desprogrammeoffered by participating colleges.
The application form for SEED 2024 will open around the 1st week of September 2023.

Portfolio submission is the 2nd stage of the SEED 2026 admission process. Candidates who are shortlisted for the PRPI need to upload portfolio and PRPI task starting in the last week of March 2026.
The portfolio and PRPI upload link will be available on the SID website after the candidate has booked the Personal Interaction slots.

Yes, Candidates seeking admission to the B.Desprogrammeneed to compulsory appear in the SEED 2026 exam. The scores of the SEED exam will be next shortlisted for a Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction round. Note that the final merit list will be prepared by considering the cumulative performance of the candidate in the Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task, and Personal Interaction (PRPI).
So, any candidate who appears in the SEED but doesn't appear in the PRPI will not be considered for admission.
The B.Des is a 4-year course carrying 160 credits.

The mock tests for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will be conducted on the admission portals at niftadmissions.in. Candidates can log in using their roll number to access the mock tests.
NIFT will provide updates about the mock tests on its website after the admission notification is released. Mock tests are usually scheduled closer to the entrance exam, approximately one or two weeks before the exam date.
Taking these mock tests will allow candidates to fine-tune their exam preparation.

The admission notification for the SEED 2026 exam is now out. Application form for SEED 2026 opened on August 1, 2025. The last date to apply for SEED 2026 B.des was November 30, 2025.
The last date to apply for SEED M.Des is April 25, 2026 (Saturday).

SEED is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). The scores of the exam are considered for admission to the B.Des programme offered by participating colleges.
The Bachelor of Design (B. Des) is a four-year course, that carries 160 credits. The under-graduate degree programmes is offered by SID and the degree is awarded by the Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune.

The Symbiosis institute of Design (SID) usually does not have an application correction windows. So, candidates must be careful when filling out the SEED 2024 application form. Note that if any incorrect information is furnished in the application, the candidate may be disqualified. The SID admission committee will check candidate information at the time of counseling and seat allotment.
Note that if SID decides to give candidates an option to edit the application form for the next academic session, the same will be updated here.

When filling up the SEED 2024 application form, the candidate must furnish only correct and verifiable data. In case the candidate offers incorrect or false data, he or she may be disqualified. Note that the SID admission will have a counseling round, where all the information provided by the candidate will be verified. The candidate will be considered for admission only if the verification process is successful.
The counseling of SID will be held soon after the first merit list is released.

To fill out the SEED application form, the candidate will have to upload the following documents:
Class 10 mark sheet
Class 12 mark sheet
Recent passport size photography
Signature
Photos ID proof
Caste certificate (if applicable).
When uploading the documents, the candidate needs to make sure they are as per the prescribed specifications and format. Also, only genuine information must be furnished.
