There are many private institutes offering distant courses under Fashion designing. The following are the names of those Institutes:
AAFT- Asian academy of film & television
MFT- Madras institute of fashion technology
Pearl Academy
DSIFD Indore- Design Solution Institute of Fashion Design
GD Goenka
And many more. As being a fashion student, I'd advice to go for a full time classroom course in fashion designing because, being my personal experience, distant learning in this type of course is of no use. Unlike other design entrance exams for Bachelor's degree, FDDI conducts a written exam on the basis of which counseling is done. For B. Des the same procedure takes place. On the basis of ranks, in FDDI AIST seats in admissions are allotted. There aren't any further rounds of counselling (GD or PI). For more information, kindly visit the link below:

Diploma in Fashion Design is a 1-year Diploma course, the minimum eligibility is 10+2 or its equivalent exam. Admission to Diploma in Fashion Design course depends on the basis of candidate's performance in a relevant entrance exam, and subsequent round of counselling. The college offers 3 years Diploma in fashion designing with INR 24,000 and 3 years Diploma in textile designing costume design and dress making with INR 24,000 only.

SOFT have comparatively low ratings than other colleges in Pune. Campus is being appreciated, faculty is not that good and academic is fees is also quite expensive.
