This is entirely dependent on the career you wish to pursue, full fashion designers need to pursue three year courses else for start up you can pursue 1 year diplomas too. NIFT offers 4 year courses or short 1-2 years diplomas/certificates.

You need to have passed class 12th with 50% marks for admission in Diploma fashion design.
