Yes, it's beneficial to pursue fashion designing through Polytechnic and from my opinion in Polytechnic Diploma courses government colleges are best. So, you should opt for government college.

Hi Aatish! The major difference is, a Textile Designer creates the pattern, designs for fabric and also develops fabric. The textile designers also do embellishment of fabrics. Enrol in a good college which offers Bachelors in Design. You may join NIFT, NID, Pearl etc. These design colleges offer vast courses in Design including Visual Merchandising, Visual Communication, Fashion Journalism etc. Your career will kickstart with B. Des only.
