The standard requirements for joining the program at the National Fire Service College includes a good score in the entrance tests such as JEE Main or equivalent tests. The cutoff marks can be different each year in view to the number of persons who sat for the examination and the number of places that are available. For General Category: 90 percentile or 1 Lakh rank is required

For OBC Category: appx 2 Lakh is required.

The fee for the course is INR 96,000. It is a 4-year course offered to 60 deserving candidates. To  be eligible candidate must have cleared class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Computer Science/ IT/ Informatics Practices/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies subject. The minimum score is 45% to apply.
