BE food technology is available in department of chemical engineering, Panjab University. Admission is based purely on your JEE Mains score and ranking. You'll have to apply as per the notifications issued. Then merit lists will be prepared for various courses available by JAC (joint admission committee) including food technology. You can check PU, Chandigarh or JAC site for previous year cutoffs. Hope it helped.

B.Sc in Food Processing, Food Storage, Preservation and Food Tech
B.Tech in Food Technology/ Food Science
The Indian Food Industry is currently valued at USD $39.71 billion, and the value is likely to reach USD $65.4 billion by 2018 (Govt. of India and IBEF).
According to DIPP, the Indian Food Processing sector has received around USD $6.7 billion as FDI between April 2000 and December 2015. The investments are poised to reach the value of USD $33 million in the next 10 years.

B.Tech. Food Technology or Bachelor of Technology in Food Technology is an undergraduate course which deals in food engineering and food sciences. It provides in depth knowledge of the fields like food processing, food packaging, nutrition, storage etc. Any person who pursues this course gets the edge of being known as food scientist or food technocrat. Any person who has successfully completed his or her 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks is eligible to pursue this course. Hope this helps.

If you are graduated in BA Political Science, then you can go for MA and Ph.D, and become Professor/lecturer in varsity or pursue B.Ed for two years and enter in the teaching line in government or private school. You also can go for variety of option like LLB, MBA etc. If you have no further intention of studies but, aspire being a government servant, then you can prepare for competition exam, such as SSC, UPSC and other state services. M.Sc Food Science & Technology program is not available at ANGRAU.
However the admission in other PG courses are made on the basis of previous academic record at Under Graduate level and performance in entrance test and the weightage would be in the ratio of 30:70. The entrance test shall be comprehensive one, covering all relevant subjects prescribed for the concerned Bachelor degree requirements of this University.
So Entrance test is must here for PG admission.

Eligibility to apply: Graduation (BTech) with 60%

Additional Details: Candidates must have completed any one of the mandatory subjects or professional societies examination recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE.

Final year students can also apply on provisional basis.
