Yes, placements in the Food Technology courses are good. Dabur, ITC, Nestle, Britannia, Bisleri, Coca-Cola, Parle, etc. are the top recruiters in this field. The highest package for UG students in LPU was INR 12 LPA. There are several job opportunities in food processing, quality control, R&D, product development, food safety, packaging, and manufacturing.
Food Corporation of India (FCI), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) are the top government organisation hiring in this field.

B.Tech food technology engineering at Tezpur University is a 4 years full-time course at the UG level. The course offers admission of only 60 students. The total tuition fee for food technology at tezpur University is INR 2.16 lakh. Apart from the tuition fee there is a one-time admission fee of INR 7300 and a hostel fee of INR 5400 that students have to pay in addition to the tution fee. No, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) does not offer a B.Tech course in Food Engineering. IPU offers UG and PG courses in the fields of Engineering, Design, and Arts ( Fine / performing). Under these streams, the college offers B.E. / B.Tech, B.Voc, and B.Des courses at the undergraduate level.
