FTII JET is conducted for admission to various courses in Film and TV wing. The difficulty level of FTII JET is moderate as compared to other government entrance exams for admission to mass communication and media courses. However, the difficulty level for a candidate differs based on their preparation level.
There are two stages in FTII JET exam. Check below to know the names of both stages.
For Courses in TV and Film Wing (Except MFA in Cinema in Screen Acting)
Stage 1: Written Test (100 Marks)
- Paper-I: MCQ (60 Marks)
- Paper-II: Subjective (40 Marks)

For MFA in Cinema in Screen Acting

There is no ideal time for candidates to prepare for FTII JET exam. As there are two stages in exam which are conducted in different months and have different criteria, their required preparation time are different.
For stage 1, students must start preparing for written test, at least 6 months before D-day. As Stage 2 is practical exam, there is no time limit for its preparation.

The stage 2 exam includes practical assessment of a candidate through screenacting and screenwriting. It is a bit tough to crack the FTII JET exam because FTII is the premier film making school in India and aspirants from all over India apply for this coveted exam making the competition a bit tough. To pass through the competition candidates will have to make a proper exam strategy and allot equal time to covering the whole syllabus, solving the question papers and leave good time for revision. In the FTII JET exam students will be judged on their intellectual skills, general studies, English, general knowledge and the prescribed syllabus.
As per admission process of FTII JET entrance exam, candidates who wish to get admission at this institute have to appear for 2 stages. Students who are selected in first stage can take Stage 2 exam. After both stages are over, selected candidates are called for further admission process, including interview, counselling and medical test. FTII JET entrance exam is conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 icludes Paper 1 (MCQs) and Paper 2 (Descriptive). FTII releases marking scheme for Stage 1 Paper 1 exam only. Check below for FTII JET marking scheme for Paper 1.

Yes, you can take FTII JET in Hindi. The questions that appear on FTII JET papers are presented in both Hindi and English. Examinees can pick either one. The institutes strictly asks the students not switch between the two while taking the test. Once you've answered a question in Hindi, you have to attempt all the questions in Hindi.
There is no word limit for the answers of descriptive and subjective questions on FTII JET test paper. However, the paper has empty line space in which examinees have to write their answers. The Film and Television Institute of India offers admission in MFA and certificate courses in the Film and TV wing. The admission is given based on FTII JET entrance exam scores. Along with FTII, the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute also offers the courses related to Film and TV.
The Film and Television of Institute of India Joint Entrance Test (FTII JET) is conducted in offline i.e. pen and paper mode. No, a candidate cannot fill FTII JET application form offline. The Film and Television Institute of India releases JET registration form in online mode and candidates have to fill and submit the same in online form only. No offline application form will be accepted by FTII for entrance exam.
