Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok is accredited by the NAAC A + accreditation. SMU Gangtok is also recognised by the UGC and approved by the Government of India. SMU is ranked 330 by QS 2026 in the Asian University Rankings - Southern Asia category.

Sikkim Manipal University Gangtok offers admission to courses such as MBA on the basis of entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ University Entrance Exam or other equivalent national level examinations valid for the admission to MBA. Candidates must meet the cutoff criteria by securing valid scores in the selected entrance exam and qualify for the group discussion and personal interview. After qualifying all the rounds, candidates will be shortlisted for the final admission. Candidates can apply for the admission to SMU Gangtok by filling out the application form on the official website of the University.

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences Gangtok is consistently ranked among the top medical institutes in India particularly in private sector. Institute has been ranked 34th in " Medical Category" by India Today. Whereas the institute has been ranked # 101th out of 150 in the overall ranking by NIRF. Also it has been ranked by Outlook - ICARE as 8th among top 23 private Medical Colleges in India.

The latest cut-off for MS in Orthopaedics at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences Gangtok are released by the institute and are as follows. The entrance exam accepted by the institute is NEET PG the overall cutoff for the general category is 18163. The cutoff of NEET PG for DNB General Surgery of Round 1 is 18163 and for round 2 the closing rank is 19188 and for the round 3 is 19574.

The total tuition fee for certificate courses at NIELIT Delhi ranges from INR 1,200 to INR 19,000. Additionally, the tuition fee for certificate courses at NIELIT Gangtok ranges from INR 1,000 to INR 25,000. Hence, it clearly can be seen that NIELIT Delhi is more affordable than NIELIT Gangtok for certificate courses.
