A private engineering college, Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT) is situated in Baruipur, Kolkata, West Bengal. GMIT was founded in 2011 by the Mallabhum Human Resources Development Trust and provides undergraduate B.Tech programs in a number of fields. For taking admission at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology in the B.Tech program, you need to apply for the WBJEE ( West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam).
There's no direct admission process at GMIT for B.Tech.
The admission are taken through counselling based on the scre of WBJEE ( West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam)

Based on the reviews provided, the quality of food in the hostel mess of Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology is good. High-quality, healthy food is provided. The quantity of food is not restricted. There are several messes available on the campus. The mess serves food four times a day, including two veg and two non-veg meals, except on Thursday.

Yes, a placement cell is available at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology. It is active enough to provide jobs to the fresher students. 220 companies participated in the placement drive in 2025. Basetti, Euphoria GenX, Techno Exponent, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc., were some of them. The highest package offered at the college is INR 14 LPA.

B.E. / B.Tech is the best choice at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology for many reasons. The highest package offered till now for BTech students is INR 14 LPA and the average package is around INR 4-5 LPA. Around 80% of the students get placed every year. Some top recruiting companies include Basetti, Euphoria GenX, Techno Exponent, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. The curriculum is also industry-relevant.

To be eligible for admission to BE/BTech course at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology, the candidate has to score a minimum of 45% aggregate in class 12 in a relevant stream from any recognised board. Eligible students will have to appear for either JEE Main or the WBJEE exam and score valid marks to be eligible for the course.

Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology is a well known institution located in Kolkata and provides a variety of facilities including boys hostel, girls hostel, cafeteria, sports complex, gym, medical hospital, library, laboratories, auditorium, Alumni Associations, transportation facilities, training and placement cell.

The WBJEE exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). It is conducted for admission to BTech in almost all colleges in West Bengal, not only for the Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology. The results for the exam for admission in 2025 are expected to be released in July 2025.
