As per the syllabus only 15% weightage is for General Aptitude and remaining 85% for concerned subjects. So concerned subjects takes much time. In ECE Network signals& system, Analog circuit, Digital circuit and control system are too much time consuming.

Yes its very true and a number of LPU students have qualified GATE. As per students interest and inclination towards his or her career choice LPU provides different career pathways and accordingly changes are done in the students curriculum based on the pathway being opted by students. Higher Studies is one of the pathways that prepares students for competitive examinations such as GATE. UGC NET CAT MAT etc. And helps in their progression in higher studies / research. It is recommended to begin the study for this exam as early as possible because it will provide you enough time to understand the topics and revise regularly. The best time to start preparing for the GATE exam is in your college. You can start in your 2nd year of engineering. Keep following GATE preparation time table until you complete your entire syllabus for each section of the exam. Greetings Jayanth, you may consult any no. Of books prior to the test but it can be quite exhausting to go through X no. Of books so it's better to precisely focus on only few books. So here are the some of the best materials
