For the first paper, options include AE, AG, AR, BM, BT, CE, CH, CS, CY, DA, EC, EE, ES, EY, GE, GG, IN, and more. For the second paper, combinations include CE, ME, XE, CG, BT, IN, BM, XL, AE, AG, AR, ES, GE, NM, XE, PE, DA, EC, and more.In the GATE Second Paper Concept, the primary paper is related to the applicant's undergraduate engineering disciplines, while the secondary paper allows applicants to apply their knowledge in a related field. Candidates can choose one or two papers, with specific combinations allowed. Each paper is worth 100 marks. Candidates are given free choice to choose the GATE papers, however candidates should choose the papers which align with the qualifying degree. E.g; If a candidate have done B.Tech. in Civil Engineering he/she should choose CE GATE paper.
