Candidates can choose one or two papers, with specific combinations allowed. Each paper is worth 100 marks. Candidates can check the combinations below: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has opened the online registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026.Now while filling GATE form, candidates can apply for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations out of the 30 papers .Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ S

Candidates are given free choice to choose the GATE papers, however candidates should choose the papers which align with the qualifying degree. E.g; If a candidate have done B.Tech. in Civil Engineering he/she should choose CE GATE paper.
