GATE Scores

Both entrance scores are acceptable for M.Tech admission at Anna University. The eligibility criteria is given below. Eligibility : Candidates who have passed all the subjects in the recognised Bachelors Degree or equivalent
field and obtained at least 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the qualifying degree examination as per AICTE norms are eligible. Further, the candidates shall possess
I) T A N C E T 2020 percentile score (or)
ii) GATE 2018 / 2019 / 2020 qualified score in the appropriate discipline of Engineering / Technology.

Hello Kshitiz, these days many institutions prefer GATE ranking for giving admission to postgraduate courses. Hence MTech in data science also would be available in many institutions across India only after student has cleared his GATE examination.

Hi, cutoff score changes year to year and depends on some factors like a number of participants, seat matrix, question difficulty level, category, choice of stream, etc. At this score you have decent chances for JEC, however, you may also apply for northeast nits, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna, Jadavpur university, IIEST Shivpur etc. Thanks.

The cutoff marks for M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering for IITs are as follows:
28.8 for general candidates
25.9 for candidates under OBC
19.2 for candidates under SC/ST/PWD.
