Yes, they differ as the question and answer keys curated by the coaching institutes are memory-based, which means that the data is not 100% accurate to the question asked in the GATE exam. Also, in the case of NAT questions, the official GATE paper offers multiple values to be considered for evaluation, whereas coaching institutes provide with a single value. However, there is not much difference between both the answer key types.

Yes, a candidate can challenge for multiple number of questions while the GATE answer key is released. However, one has to pay INR 500 for each question along with a proper explanation to the question he/she is challenging. If the response submitted is correct then it will be reflected on the GATE final answer key.

No, the GATE fees that is prescribed for raising an objection is non-refundable. Candidates must pay a fee of INR 500 per question through netbanking/credit card/debit card or UPI.

The GATE provisional and response sheet serve different purposes. The difference between GATE provisional and response sheet are as follows -
GATE 2025 provisional key
- Contains officially released answers to all the questions asked in the exam.
- It allows candidates to compare their responses with correct answers.
- Candidates can challenge any answer they believe is incorrect within a specified period.
- It is later finalised after considering challenges, the GATE 2025 final answer key is released.
GATE 2025 response sheet
- It is a document that contains the responses or answers marked by the candidate

GATE functions as a postgraduate entrance exam for M.Tech M.Sc and doctoral admission while it does not serve as a test for undergraduate B.Tech admission.
Students wishing to study B.Tech in Biotechnology through BiPC background must pass the entrance examinations JEE Main and NEET or state-level engineering entrance tests depending on which college they plan to attend. University participation in admission sometimes accepts 12th-grade students for concentration-based enrollment.

The GATE 2025 answer key is expected to be released soon on the GATE's official website- gate2025.iitr.ac.in. The steps to challenge or raise objections to the GATE provisional answer key is as follows -
Step 1: Visit the official website of GOAPS
Step 2: Login using registered credentials
Step 3: Click on the GATE 2025 answer key
Step 4: Select the paper you appeared for
Step 5: Click on "Raise Objection"
Step 6: Check the question number from the official answer key and enter the question ID
Step 7: Pay the objection fee through the available payment modes

The Indian Institute of Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) released the GATE 2025 provisional answer key along with GATE master question paper and response sheet on Feb 27, 2025. Candidates can access the answer key and question paper using their enrollment ID and password through the GOAPS portal. The last date to raise objection was March 1, 2025.

Shekhawati Group of Institutions considers GATE score for admission to M.Tech programme. However, it is not mandatory. Aspirants with a GATE score are given preference over those without it. Besides, aspirants must also complete BE/ BTech in relevant specialisations to get admission in the M.Tech course.
