IIT Madras accepts GATE COAP exam scores to offer M.Tech courses to the candidates belonging to All India categories. During the IIT Madras M.Tech cutoff 2022, the cutoff score released between 432 and 877 for the General AI category candidates. For top programs such as CSE, Micro Electronics and VLSI Design, and Integrated Circuits and Systems, the General AI quota cutoff stood at 820, 831, and 877, respectively. For the same course, the category-wise cutoffs are presented in the table below:

Yes, IIT Roorkee has announced the GATE 2025 results on the official website. Candidates who have appeared the exam can check their results at GOAPS portal. Candidates need to provide their GATE enrollment ID and password. The results will detremine the qualifying status of the candidate.

  • Each PSU (like IOCL, ONGC, NTPC, BHEL) releases separate job notifications mentioning the required GATE paper and cutoff criteria and valid GATE scorecard details.
  • Appear for the relevant GATE paper based on your field (e.g., ME, CE, EE, CH). A higher GATE score (650+) increases selection chances.
  • After the GATE results, visit PSU's official websites and apply for vacancies by entering your GATE registration number.

Scoring 850 in GATE is exceptional as it creates a pathway for admissions to TOP IITs and NITs. It is also considered a great score for PSU recruitment through GATE. To apply for PSUs, aspirants must be aware of the application process and date for different PSUs. There are many PSUs that accept GATE scores in their recruitment process. Some of the top PSUs in India that accept GATE scores for recruitment are as follows -

  • Airport Authority of India (AAI)
  • Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)
  • Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL)
  • Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL)
  • National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC)
  • Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)
  • Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID)

Yes, GATE enrollment ID is important and mandatory credential to check the GATE 2025 results. It is a unique identification number assigned to you when you register for the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam. It is generated after you complete the registration process on the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal. The IIT Roorkee will declare the GATE 2025 results on March 19, 2025 along with branch-wise GATE cutoff marks and toppers list.

No, the normalisation process is only applied to GATE papers that are conducted in multiple sessions. For papers, such as CS and CE, which have large numbers of candidates, multiple sessions are scheduled, and normalisation is used to ensure fairness. However, for subjects conducted in a single session, the raw marks obtained by candidates are directly considered for ranking and score calculation.
