Yes, students can waive off paying the GSU University application fee, provided they meet the conditions given below:

  • Are a GSU-62 student and registered during the late registration window OR
  • Are a dual enrolled student with funding for studies approved by the GSU OR
  • Enrolled in one of the Film Academy Courses OR
  • Only enrolled in courses offered under an agreement between the university and an external organization

Yes, GSU is one of the few universities in the state that is rated as R1 by the Carnegie Classification. It is popular for its work in fields like Data Science, AI, Health and Social and Behavioral Sciences among others. Georgia State Uni has spent over USD 1.2 billion in the last 6 years.

It also gave USD 187.6 million in grant in the FY' 24 alone.

It can be considered moderately expensive to study at. The tuition costs range somewhere between INR 23.6 Lakhs and INR 50 Lakhs per year, across the UG and PG levels of study, depening on the course one applies to. This is much more affordable compared to the more popular places like MIT, Yale, and Harvard. Here, the tuition costs can go upto INR 1 Cr.
