Yes, GSU generally allows the admitted Indian students to get a deferral to the future term. However, it requires the approval of the Georgia State University admissions team.
Indian applicants must write an email and contact the admissions office directly to request these changes and if it is approved, a new I-20 will be issued for the new term.

The BSc Nursing course of Georgia State University is 4 years. The College of Nursing is approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing and the Commission Collegiate Nursing Education. For admission to BSN course of this university, Indian students are required to have completed high school. LOR has to be submitted too.

Yes, for some of the courses available, the Indian applicants do need to submit portfolios, writing samples and even auditions. Given below are the courses that require the mentioned additional requirements -
- MFA or MAT (in Art and Design)
- Applied Linguistic (A writing sample which shows the research skills)
- For Political Science courses (the applicants are required to submit a 20 to 40 pages)
- Criminal Justice & Criminology (a writing sample needed)

Yes, a credential evaluation is extremely important for international students who have attended an institution outside of the USA. It is an admission requirement for almost all the GSU courses offered.
Given below are the guidelines for the credential evaluation-
- A course by course evaluation to be done
- Transcripts must be sent by the university that the applicant attended
- The evaluation should be done by the approved evaluators of NACES
