Yes, Georgia State University may offer the Campus Atlanta Scholarship which can have a 100% tuition waiver as well as the 50% partial tuition waiver for all international students. These are awarded on merit basis and the students would have to submit their scores from 10th and 12th for the same.
No separate application or essay is required. Campus Atlanta Scholarship is automatically applied when you apply for GSU admissions.

Georgia State University is considered a good university for its STEM programs mostly. As per the US News and World rankings 2025, GSU ranked #198 among the top national universities of the country.
For the best UG teaching category, GSU is ranked #5. Under the QS ranking 2026, it ranked #98 in the USA.
The 2027 QS rankings have also been released and this university ranked #801 in the same.

At Georgia State University, GPA and test scores are way more important than the statement of purpose or extracurriculars.
Like many other US universities, GSU focuses a lot on quant metrics for managing admissions well.
The GPA is the most critical factor in one's application and the GPA required for the same is around 3.63 on a 4.0 scale.

Yes, strong standardized test scores improve the admission chances for Indian students at Georgia State University.
For UG courses at the Atlanta Campus, the University System of Georgia has made the SAT or ACT scores mandatory.
Because GSU has an acceptance rate of around 50%, a good SAT or ACT score is a great differentiator for Indian students.

GSU is actually moderately selective, with an acceptance rate of around 55.43%. But it can go much lower for the departments given below -

For Indian students, Georgia State University is no longer accepting Duolingo scores. For PG courses, the minimum scores may vary as per the courses. But, for UG courses. here are the minimum scores required.

As per the Shiksha Popularity Rankings, the Engineering courses at Georgia State University are ranked #223 in the USA.
