Georgia State University's acceptance rate is around 55%. This acceptance rate of GSU suggests that this university is somewhat selective. For admission to GSU, the Indian students should have a great academic record. Admission to Master's degree would require students to have a Bachelor's degree. Whereas for admission to UG courses, students should have completed school education.

To process an application, Georgia State University first reviews the application properly. There may be a case where the admissions team asks for more documents or clarity on the submitted ones. Look at the given pointers -

  • After all this, this university might take some weeks to a month to release application decisions.
  • The students should keep checking their emails and the official portal for an update.

For the Business and Management courses, international students are required to apply via the official website of the Robinson School of Management. There are intakes for the same which are mid-November (early action) and early March (regular)

Although for MBA programs, the admission deadlines are rolling.

International students can apply for three intakes at Georgia State University which are Fall, Summer and Spring intakes.

Out of all of them, the Fall intake is the the largest and the most popular one. The application deadlines generally close in November for UG courses. Indian students generally go for courses in Business, Computer Science, Psychology and Health. The Summer intake can be considered a significant one UG international students.

Students can check the status via the portal they used to submit the Common Application for GA State. The university usually takes around 7 to 10 business days to process the documents and update the status.

Students are advised to wait for this period at the very least. If the status is still not updated, students can then get in touch with the university.

International freshman (UG) students need a minimum IELTS score of 6.0. For PG courses, the IELTS requirement varies greatly for different courses. For Business courses offered by the GSU Business College, students need an IELTS score of 6.5. The college also accepts TOEFL and PTE Academic scores. For UG courses, a TOEFL score of 69 overall or a PTE score of 53 is enough.

No, students don't need to submit either a GRE or GMAT score for most GSU courses. Business programs offered by the Robinson College of Business, have waived off the test score requirement for most courses.

However, students applying for studies at the Georgia State College of Law, may have to submit a valid GRE or LSAT score for courses like JD.

Students still can submit a valid score in either test. This can certainly have positive effect on the overall application.
