If your course requires you to study in Germany for more than 90 days as a student then you are required to get a residence permit in Germany. The resident visa is your typical student visa in Germany. The German student visa will cost you anywhere around EUR 75. However, the visa processing time could take up to 25 days given that all the documents submitted are in order.

Also, international students have to submit proof of finances for one year, i.e., they should keep EUR 10,332 in a blocked account. It will cost EUR 75 for a student visa to Germany. The processing time may take up to 25 days provided all the documents are in order and submitted timely. International students applying for a residence permit after arriving in Germany would require to pay up to EUR 110.
