The mode of Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit and scores of entrance exams. The accepted entrance exams are GITAM GAT, TS EAMCET, KCET, Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, JEE Main, and others. Candidates applying through GITAM GAT must first register for the entrance exam. Then download the admit card. Then appear for the exam. Then appear for the counselling round.

GITAM Visakhapatnam BSc course structure is divided into six semesters with each academic year consists of two semesters. The curriculum structure of the BSc Paramedical and the contents for various courses offered by the University are recommended by the
Board of Studies concerned and approved by the Academic Council. The course structure of GITAM BSc course is as follows:

As per the NEET PG cutoff 2024, the round 1 closing ranks varied between 10718 and 103926, wherein the most competitive MD specialsiation was MD in Dermatology, Venerology and Leprosy, followed by MD in Radio-Diagnosis for the students belonging to the General category in the AI quota.
