GITAM University Vizag Course Admissions 2025: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

To be eligible to pursue MSc at GITAM, applicants are required to have scored at least 50% in bachelor's degree in relevant discipline. Hence, candidates scoring less than 60%, but over 50% are eligible to apply for the programme. MSc admission at GITAM are entrance-based. The seats are allotted to the candidates with a valid score in the accepted entrance exam. 

Yes, you can get admission to GITAM university with 65 percentile. The MBA admissions were conducted based on CAT, MAT, NMAT, and Karnataka PGCET. For  GITAM School of Business, Bengaluru, the needed cutoff percentile is 70 and 65 for CAT and MAT, respectively.

Similarly, for GITAM Business School Hyderabad and GITAM School of Business Visakhapatnam, the CAT percentile stood at a common percentile of 70 in 2024.

Admissions of the MBA program in GITAM Visakhapatnam are made on the basis of entrance examination scores, such as GAT and other Management entrance exams recognized at the university. The candidates should have a Bachelor of degree (at least 3 years of duration) or equivalent qualification in any field with at least 50 aggregates in a recognised university/college.

Candidates while applying for admission to the BCom programme must pay GITAM Visakhapatnam BCom application fees 2024 of INR 1,200. This application fee paid during the time of registration is non-refundable and includes the fee for GITAM Admission Test as well. This fee can be paid online. 

Candidates seeking admission to the BCom programme offered at GITAM University Visakhapatnam must appear for an entrance examination. Only those candidates who qualify GAT (UG Management) online test or UGAT can apply for admission for GITAM BCom course.

To be eligible to pursue MCA at GITAM, applicants are required to have scored at least 50% in BCA/bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering. A relaxation of 5% in the eligibility requirement is given to the candidates belonging to the resereved categories. Hence, candidates belonging to reserved categories with a minimum of 45% in BCA/bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering are eligible to apply for the programme. However, meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission to the institute's MCA programme. MCA admission at GITAM is entrance-based. The seats are allotted to the candidates with a valid score in the accepted entrance exam. In case a candidate fails to secure a seat the GITAM for MCA, they can look for other colleges/universities providing the programme. They can also check out the colleges offering online MCA courses.

No, free seat is not available at GITAM University Vishakhapatnam but there are scholarships available for students. These scholarships help students in paying the fee timely that too at discounted prices. Students must apply for the available scholarships if they need any financial support. 

GITAM University offers various BTech courses based on KCET scores. Candidates willing to get a seat for any of the course at the university must have valid KCET scores. Further, the university has released the cutoffs for various quotas including All India and Home State. In order to apply for MCA course at GITAM University Visakhapatnam the candidate need to meet the last educational qualfication. Aspirants should pass BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Equivalent Degree. The other eligibility criteria is mentioned in the points below:

• Passed B.Sc/B.Com/B.A with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University)
• Obtained at least 50% marks (45%marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
• Admission into M.C.A (Master Computer Applications) will be based on an All India GITAM Science Admission Test (GITAM GAT) conducted by GITAM University and the rule of reservation, wherever applicable.
