GITAM Bangalore BA seats are allocated based on performance in GAT. Thus, in order to get a seat at GITAM, students are required to register and appear for the GAT exam conducted by GITAM. Moreover, as per the official website of the university, seats are allocated on a first come first basis.

GITAM offers a three-year BA course at the UG level. The university admits students to BA courses based on their performance in the GAT exam. Apart from this, interested students would also be required to meet the following eligibility criteria:

GITAM BA course admission is based on scores in the GAT exam. However, to apply and appear for GAT, students are required to fulfill certain eligibility requirements. For all BA specialisations except Economics, candidates with a minimum of 50% Class 12 from any stream are eligible to apply. However, for BA in Economics, the candidate must have 50% in Class 12 in any discipline with Mathematics as a mandatory subject in Class 12.

GITAM University accepts the GAT exam for its BA admissions. It is conducted by Gandhian Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University. The test consists of three sections and all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions). Each question has four options of which one is correct. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks. The wrong answer and unanswered questions will receive nil marks. Tabulated below is the GAT exam pattern:
