Once the candidates are shortlisted for UG or PG course based on merit or entrance exam, candidates are required to come for GJUST Counselling. The university verifies the documents of the candidates during the counselling process for final admission. Below are the documents required during GJUST Counselling:
- Result of qualifying exam
- Certificates of Class 10 and Class 12
- Reservation Certificate (if applicable)
- Proper Sports certificate, if weightage claimed, issued by the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Haryana
- Character Certificate
- Submission of proof of qualifying examination

GJUST Counselling for B.Ed usually begins in September after the release of merit list. Usually, two rounds of counselling are held. However, it will depend on the availability of seats. Below is tentative GJUST counselling schedule:
