The way of admission differs in this aspect: some states have state-level entrance exams (e.g. UP, Bihar, WB), and some are based on merit which is based on 12 th -grade marks only. Yes, several colleges in Haldwani offer GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) courses. Options include Government Nursing School Haldwani, Sushila Tiwari Nursing College, and Himalayan Institute of Nursing. Although preference is often given to Science students, some institutes consider Arts stream candidates if they meet minimum marks criteria in Class 12 (usually 40–50%). The course duration is three years with both theoretical and practical training. Fees range from fifty thousand to one Lacs rupees per year, depending on the college. Check individual institute websites for specific eligibility details.

If you're preparing for a GNM entrance exam, focus on the Class 12 syllabus only. The topics most probably come from the Class 12 syllabus, like General Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), General English, General Knowledge, and Mathematics (if applicable).
