In case of GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery), there are some institutions, which are considered to be of high standard due to education and exposure. These are Christian Medical College (CMC). Vellore, St. stephen hospital college of Nursing, Delhai and college of Nursing Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur. The Holy Family College of Nursing, New Delhi and the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune are other good choices which eligible candidates can apply to. Good 10+2 is the expected requirement and some of the colleges can also use their own entrance tests or the state level nursing entrance test scores are accepted.

No, direct admission in GNM at KGMU is not available.

KGMU does not offer a GNM program. The university only offers BSc Nursing courses, which require entrance exam qualification - no direct admission for nursing programs.

For BSc Nursing at KGMU, admission is based on entrance exam performance, not direct admission.
