Eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS :

Passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with an aggregate of 50% Marks

For General : 50%

For OBC , SC, ST : 40%

  • Admission to MBBS at GMC Aurangabad is based on the score in NEET UG.
  • The closing cutoff rank for MBBS at GMC Aurangabad is 21484 for the AIQ General Category.

Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

B.Sc.Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
UG DiplomaCandidate must have passed 10+2 with Science stream from a recognised board.
PG DiplomaIn order to become eligible for counseling, candidate must have obtained minimum 50 percentile for General category (40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC (including PWD of SC/ST/OBC) and 45 percentile for UR PWD) in NEET PG.
MBBSCandidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually and must have obtained mentioned percentage taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology. In respect of PwBD candidates as per NMC and DCI Regulations, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%.
Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for theNational Eligibility Cum Entrance Test'. However, this has been a subject matter of challenge before the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, Hon'ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon'ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur
The lower age limit is 17 years on or before 31st Dec of the year of admission (born on or before 31.12.2006)

For getting a government medical college for MBBS you need to just have more than 50% in Class 12th. But you need to score a Very good rank in NEET which is the medical entrance exam for MBBS.
