GBPUAT gives 23 hostels including 11 hostels for female students and one for married students with separate arrangements for post-graduate and undergraduate students.  There is Indoor Stadium Facility available. There is also  mess facility, and various other facilities available for students and teachers. The hostels at GBPUAT have 24/7 security and surveillance,  ensuring the safety and security of students.

GBPUAT offers modern amenities with a state of the art infrastructure to its undergraduate and postgraduate students. With a campus area of around 12,661 acre of land, GBPUAT offers a number of other facilities to its students apart from regular facilities such as labs and well-equipped classrooms.

The University has released the NIRF report 2025 which includes the placement details for the batch 2024. According to the report,  88 UG 4 year (BTech) students were placed out of the total 387 graduated students during GBPUAT placements 2024 with a median package of INR 5.25 LPA.

No GBPUAT is not a private institution it is a public, state government university which was established in 1960 in Pantnagar Uttarakhand it is recognised as India's first agricultural university functioning as a public land grant university supported by state government.

Aspiring students wishing to join GBPUAT are required to pay a certain amount as fees. GBPUAT fee structure for all courses consists of various components, namely tuition, security deposit, and hostel fee, etc. Among these components, some are to be paid only once during GBPUAT admission, while the remaining are charged according to the fee guidelines. GBPUAT fee ranges between INR 41,420 - 25,00,000

The GBPUAT Cutoff is based on the total number of applicants who appear for the exam. The difficulty level of the exam and the final round is merit-based. The merit list of the GBPUST exam is based on the total marks scored by students.

There are a total of 200 MCQs in the GBPUAT exam. The exam consists of 600 marks. For every right answer, students get 3 marks, and for an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted. 

The Pantnagar entrance exam is of 3 hours, and the exam language is Hindi and English.
