No, it is not necessary to take computers as a subject. Graphic designing is a separate undergraduate course where you need creativity and visual fashion sense. So take up fine arts as an optional subject so that you brush up this side as well.

You have to complete class XII and then do the graphic designing undergraduate course from NIFT, NID, Pearl Academy or any other institute.
After 10th, you can do short-term diploma courses. But, they are not going to fetch you good jobs unless you plan to do freelance.
For in-depth knowledge, you should take up undergraduate course.

Those who want to get into the field must we well versed with programmes such as Photoshop, In Design, lllustrator and other similar design software, which allow them to edit, create graphics and photos.
