The ideal score depends on the university you are targeting for admission. You have to get 320 or above out of 340, for getting easy admission in to the top universities worldwide. Keep in mind that score equal to or above 75 percentile is considered good enough to apply for admission.

Nothing is subtracted from your score for incorrect answers. Here is a bit of great news: the GRE does not penalize you for selecting an incorrect answer choice. So, if you're wondering, “Is there negative scoring in GRE tests?” the answer is no! The GRE uses a positive scoring system. There's no penalty for guessing on the GRE. Fill in an answer for every question, even if you decide to skip it. Guessing on this test is a skill in and of itself that requires practice. For instance, if you wind up reaching your minute check-in and still have no clue, make yourself write down an answer.

Yes! As a primary ID proof, ETS ask valid passport of a student at the time of GRE test registration. Make sure all the details mentioned on your passport should be the same as on your GRE registration page. In most cases, a valid passport is required for GRE registration. However, depending on your test location, other government-issued IDs may be acceptable. Lastly, valid identity proof is required. A valid passport serves the purpose, but since 2021, an Aadhaar card is also accepted.
