No, UIS does not require GRE for admission to MS in CS program. Apart from the GRE score, the applicants are required to submit other documents like academic transcripts in order to take admission, English language proficiency score, etc. The University of Illinois Springfield admission requirements for international students for MS in CS are:

  • Having a minimum overall UG GPA of 2.70 for full admission
  • On top of this, the applicants must also have completed a course in Data Structures and Algorithms

GRE is required for most of the programs but not for all of the graduate courses. A strong academic profile is recommended, including competitive scores in the GMAT or GREs.  However, the admission process at the University of California Santa Barbara takes a holistic approach, considering multiple factors in the student's profile. These factors include Leadership, Work experience, essays, LOR and interviews that the students give during their admission process.

Yes, GRE is required and applicants must submit GRE scores in order for your application to be considered. Other standardized test scores will not be accepted as substitutes. The only exception is made for Tufts undergraduates, who are not required to submit GRE scores.Though the university hasn’t mentioned the minimum required score for GRE 2024. However for 2020 he average Verbal GRE score is 155, and the average Quantitative GRE score is 167. Applicants are suggested to aim as it gives higher chances of getting in.
