Carnegie Mellon University's GRE requirement varies by program. Some programs require GRE scores, while others do not. The Language Technologies Institute does not have a minimum GRE or GPA requirement. The Computer Science Department waives GRE scores for applicants who have graduated from, or are enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University. However, submitting GRE scores is highly recommended. The Electrical and Computer Engineering department made the GRE requirement optional for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 admission cycle. The School of Computer Science does not have a minimum GRE requirement, but applicants must submit a GRE score. The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation programme requires GRE scores. The Mechanical Engineering department is not accepting GRE scores for their graduate admission process

International students who are planning to take full-time admission at the Stevens Institute of Technology are required to submit their GMAT or GRE scores while applying to the university. Part-time applicants to the master's programme are not required to submit test scores with their applications. If the candidate has a GMAT/GRE test score, then they may include their scores with their application. There is no minimum GMAT/GRE requirement at Stevens. However, admission to School of Business programs is very competitive; excellent scores are required for candidates to be accepted.
