According to an unofficial source, GRE is not mandatory to pursue Masters in Information Technology in Canada. However, there are some universities that ask for GRE at the time of admission. Other things that are required at the time of admission are:
- Copies of academic records
- Letters of recommendation
- IELTS / TOEFL score
- Personal statement
- Resume

Some of the universities may ask for GRE to study Masters of Fine Arts in USA. Out of 140 universities, only 4 universities accept GRE scores. The universities that accept GRE are:
- American University
- University of Tennessee
- University of North Carolina at Greensboro
- Governors State University

As such, the Graduate College of Oklahoma University does not require GMAT and GRE test scores. But, a few of the University of Oklahoma courses may need GRE / GMAT scores.

The applicants aiming to pursue MS in Business Analytics programme at Syracuse University are recommended to submit GMAT or GRE score. Besides GRE scores, other academic requirements include the fulfilment of bachelor’s degree and English language proficiency test scores. The accepted English language test scores are TOEFL / IELTS / Duolingo.

GRE is optional for all the programs under Syracuse University College of Engineering & Computer Science. Besides this, the applicants are required to submit all the other application materials such as letters of recommendation, CV, personal statement, etc. The detailed application requirements are given below:
