First thing, these two exams are not compulsory. NEET (national eligibility cum entrance test) exam is for getting admission for MBBS a BDS courses in India.
GATE (graduate aptitude test in engineering) is for admission into IITs and other reputed institutions for doing M.Tech /ME degree
