You will have to apply and qualify in exams for government jobs. You are eligible to apply for government jobs after graduation. If you have a technical degree then you can also apply for technical posts in government sector.

All the courses offered by CIPET-Ahmedabad are good and best in India. If you want to pursue manufacturing engineering specifically I suggest taking a look at your available options first because CIPET is mainly for plastic industry, if that is where you want to go then it would be a good option.

See, if the branch is not a barrier, you should definitely go for IIT or IIIT, as it stands out on its own and you'll get a great exposure there. But if you are sure with your branch that's EC, then NIT-Silchar is a great college.

The admission at BITS Pilani is done on basis of pure Merit. There are no reservations or lateral entries. Also the admissions are done only into First Year. There is no provision for admission into second year or any kind of transfer from other institute.
