Choosing CA is a very good career option for your future.
CA consists of 3 levels: CPT, IPCC and final.
IPCC has 2 groups: group 1 & 2.
Final also has 2 groups: group 1 & 2.
You are required to start 3 years of articleship (internship) under a recognised chartered accountancy firm, once you pass one group of IPCC. You go through rigorous training in the articleship which gives you a lot of industry knowledge and hands-on work experience which is very important for your future work. Some people take up a dummy articleship but those people face a lot of problems in the future as they have all the knowledge but they don't know how to apply it in the real world. This is taught in the articleship. So don't do dummy articleship no matter how much your friends convince you to do so. After you pass your second group in the IPCC, you have to complete the 3 years of articleship. ( You can also take the exams for both the groups together if you are capable).
Post completion of articles, you will have to give the Final exams. In this also, you can either give exam of both groups one by one or the exams of both the groups together. When you pass the final exams, congratulations, you have become a CA.
