The IPU CET question paper for B.Tech (Bio-Technology) includes questions from Physics Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology or Biotechnology at the Class 12 level. In IPU CET  there is negative marking. This means one mark is reduced for each incorrect response. Marks are not deducted for unanswered questions. This means that if a candidate leaves a question unanswered, no marks are deducted. 

A total of 100 questions will be asked in IPU CET exam for B.Tech lateral entry and B.Tech (Bio-Technology) admission. Four answer choices be given for each question. Candidates must choose correct answer from options given. Total marks allotted to the question paper is 400.
