It is necessary that each aspirant fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. Thus, the aspirants who have completed Class 12 with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for reserved category) in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Computer Science are eligible to apply for a BTech course in HBTU. Moreover, for BTech Lateral Entry, aspirants need to pass CUET exam and should have completed a three-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST).

The university faciliate placement support to the graduates. HBTU has not released course-wise placement report as of now. However, as per a consolidates report of placement 2023, 400 students were placed. The highest package offered to the placed candidates stood at INR 36 LPA. The annual academic fee for MCA is INR 1.2 lakh. After seat allotment, a candidate has to deposit the balance Annual Academic Fee i.e., INR 60,000 for General/OBC category candidates and INR 35,000 for SC/ST/EWS candidates. The fee payment can be done via online mode and should be paid within the prescribed time period.
