To get into HPNLU for the BA LLB (Hons), LLM and BBA LLB (Hons) courses, students have to first appear for the CLAT entrance examination, followed by its counselling process. Only those students who appear for the counselling process are considered eligible for admission. 

The HPNLU CLAT cutoff 2026 has been released for all rounds for various All India and Home State quota categories. The cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks.

The NLU Shimla CLAT cutoff 2026 was released for both the SC All India and the SC Home State quota. The cutoff was out for admission to the BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and BA LLB (Hons) courses. 

For the ST AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 4544 in the first round to 13896 in the last round. As per this range, the toughest course for enrollment was the LLM course. This course cutoff ranged from 4544 to 5580

The NLU Shimla CLAT Cutoff 2026 has been released for round 2 for multiple categories under both the All India and Home State quota. The cutoff was out in the form of opening and closing ranks. 

For the General HS category, the cutoff was 11211 for the B.A LL.B (Hons.) course, and 16167 for B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) programme. Students can refer to the table below to know the cutoff for round 2 for various categories under the Home state quota.

According to the latest student reviews, BA LLB placements at Himachal Pradesh National Law University in 2023 had a the highest and the lowest package of INR 18 LPA and INR 5 LPA, respectively with 10 companies who visited the campus. The admission process of Himachal Pradesh National Law University involves the following steps:-

  1. Registration- Candidates must register for the CLAT exam to take admission in Himachal Pradesh National Law University, except the PhD course and appear for the exam. 
  2. Selection- Candidates are selected based on CLAT marks. While for PhD candidates can appear for the UGC NET or the university's own entrance exam.
  3. Admission Confirmation- Selected candidates must pay the tuition fees to confirm their seat in Himachal Pradesh National Law University.

No, Himachal Pradesh National Law University admission is not currently open for the academic year 2025. The CLAT counselling process is over. Candidates can apply for admission in Himachal Pradesh National Law University for the next academic year. i.e, 2026 by registering for CLAT 2026.
