To get admission to this government college, candidates must have valid scores in various entrance exams like CUET and CUET-PG. Candidates must study according to the CUET exam pattern and must follow the CUET preparation guidelines. In this way, the candidates can successfully clear the entrance exams.

Hindu College admission to all the programmes is entrance-based. While the college accepts CUET UG exam for admission to its UG courses, such as BA, BSc and BCom, admission to all the postgraduate programmes is based on the scores obtained by students in the CUET- PG exam (starting admission 2023).

Candidates seeking admission to BCom (Hons) at Hindu College must have completed their Class 12 with the following subject conditions:
- Combination 1: Any one language from List A along with one among Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1 OR
- Combination 2: Any one Language from List A along with one among Accountancy/ Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1
Final merit is subject to the scores obtained by the students in their CUET exam.
