The eligibility depends on the type of course that you wish to pursue, the details of some courses are stated below:
Diploma: Class 10th cleared from a recognised board with minimum 40% marks.
Bachelor's Degree: Class 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks.
Post-graduation degree: Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least 45% marks.
Graduate & PG programs may also require you to appear in entrance exams such as NCHMCT, AIMA UGAT, E-CHAT, etc.

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc in hospitality administration:
1) Candidate should have secured 55% or more in their B.Sc degrees.
2) Candidate should have completed their graduate degrees B.Sc with physics, chemistry or maths as one of their subjects from a recognized university in Science stream.
3) Marks required for admission to one of these courses may vary from institute to institute.
4) In many colleges, universities may conduct entrance tests followed by interviews for admission.

Hi Sharang,
It will depend on the nature of your gap. Gaining work experience won't jeopardize your chances but then they will check the quality of work, relevancy with your education, etc. Overall you should have a good profile and your career plans must be clear to have a good application.
