Central University of Tamil Nadu offers only one specialisation for the BA course, i.e., Economics. Hence, candidates have no choice but to select any other specialisation except Economics. However, applicants can select the type of course, such as BA (Hons) Economics for three years, BA (Hons) Economics for four years, and BA + MA in Economics for five years.

The selection process for the BA course at CU Tamil Nadu is similar for all courses. The admission is based on applicants' achieved scores in CUET UG. Before applying for the course, applicants must ensure that they complete the basic eligibility criteria, which state that candidates must complete their Class with an aggregate of 45% to 60%, depending on the applicants' category.
