Eligibility for MBA programme: The prospective applicant must satisfy one of the following eligibility criteria for admissions to the MBA programme. A graduate degree under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate, from a recognised university. St. Xavier's College, Mumbai is one of the best college to pursue economics. It only provides B.A in economics. Full as well as part majors in economics and statistics.
The criteria for admission is nothing expect the merit list. The percentage cut off for B.A economics ranges from 98%-96% for general non Christian students.

BA (Hons) in economics and B.Sc (Hons) economics degrees are not very different. In Delhi, Economics is considered as a BA programme. In Kolkata, any honours stream which has Maths as a compulsorily subject is considered for B.Sc.
