Yes, you can go for MA in mass communication, as the eligibility is that candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

I don't know the exact reason, but the lecturers haven't studied Python in their Under/Post Graduation, so they don't master in such languages which they haven't studied yet. According to me, this could be the reason but you shouldn't worry about that, try searching for online courses, they'll give you much more in-depth knowledge without worrying about the syllabus.

JB, Yes, you are eligible for CSIR UGC NET under earth Science subject. CSIR will hold the UGC NET for Junior Research Fellowship and/or Assistant Lectureship. This would depend on your interest areas and career aspirations. In case you intend to pursue a career in Journalism /Research / Academics area then MA/M.Sc/Masters in Mass media/Journalism is better, However if you want to move into general management the MBA ( finance) is better. An MBA finance degree will also give you an entry into Equity Research domain.
